Dam Sire WISCONSIN is by Dutch KWPN “SIRE OF THE CENTURY 2000” NIMMERDOR. This legendary bay stallion was out of the Dutch WB elite mare Ramona, which featured thoroughbred on her sire’s side (Koridon) and Dutch warmblood (grandsire Senator) on the dam’s side. When Nimmerdor was performance tested, he clearly excelled at jumping and so began his steady progression onto the world of International Showjumping. Ridden by Albert Vroom, he successfully competed in many World Cups and International Competitions, and he was accordingly invited to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Nimmerdor also produced over sixty international showjumpers including well-known names such as VDL Everest, Broere Goldenridge, Agrovorm’s Maywood, San Patrignano Avenir and Canadian Colours. Undoubtedly, Nimmerdor is one of the best showjumper sires of the world.
Nimmerdor also produced successful dressage horses including the international Zapata, as well as versatile offspring including Wellington, which competed at Advanced level dressage and at International show jumping. Competition horses aside, Nimmerdor also sired many exceptional broodmares and his daughters regularly finish ahead in the conformation category. Zancara (keur pref) was reserve champion for ridden broodmares in the Netherlands and was several times champion of Friesland at the Central KWPN show. His progeny also have excellent breeding results and he has a high degree of heredity reliability at 95%.
Dam Grand Sire FARN (Holsteiner) was an old-fashioned type, and when he was graded it was hoped he would improve the Dutch Warmblood breeding by siring good broodmares. This he clearly did, but only when he was given lighter mares did it become evident that he was also capable of producing excellent show jumpers amongst his offspring. Farn is tracing ancestry to ACHIL – founder of the Holstein breed.
Sire LUCKY LIGHT was nominated the highest honour of Danish Warmblood in 1998 as “Stallion of the Year”. This Elite Sire by LAGANO X LADYKILLER won the World Champion Showjumping for Breeding Sires WBFSH Zangersheide 1995 with the title “SIRE OF THE WORLD”
During his showjumping career Lucky Light won numerous international Grand Prix wins and placements as well as performing at Intermediare Dressage. In 1995 he was awarded Elite Stallion based on his performance as well as that of his offspring where of at least 30 foals have been exhibited and graded at the Danish Warmblood Foal Shows. Minimum 50% of these offspring have been nominated premium mares and stallions and many of these went to the finals at the Herning Horse Show for stallion licensing and Young Horse Championships. Many of his offsprings are rated A in showjumping and dressage. In 1996 Lucky Light was awarded the Gold Medal by Dansk Varmblod, which is the highest honor.
